Grant had a great 2nd birthday! We took him to see Sesame Street Live, and he loved it! We weren't sure how focused he would stay, but luckily he did great. Bryce even enjoyed watching it as well! After the show, we took him to lunch at Chick-fil-A. We then gave him his present which is a tricycle with a parent steer handle. He loves it, but still doesn't love wearing the helmet yet. Even though it was another rainy Saturday, he really had a great day. Unfortunately, we had to leave him during his nap to drive to Louisville for my cousin's wedding. We felt so bad leaving him on his birthday since this was a kid-free wedding, but he had a great rest of the day with Grandma and Grandpa Docter. We then had his birthday party the next day. He loved his cake and cupcakes, and had a lot of fun with his cousins. He got some great presents, mostly things that he can use outside, such as a water table, turtle sandbox, bubbles, sidewalk chalk and a sprinkler toy. The only bad part was toward the end of the party when he had a bad fall outside and really scraped up his face. Good thing we already had his 2 year pictures taken!
We went to the doctor the following day for his 2 year check up. He now weighs 30 pounds even (75th percentile) and is 36 1/2 inches tall, which is the 92nd percentile! He actually is now a half inch taller than his cousin Clara who just turned 3. He is growing too fast! Everything else checked out great, and it's so weird that we don't have to go back to the doctor for a well visit until he's 3!
